Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, or “CNA”, is one of the best career choices someone can make. Not only do CNA’s perform vital, helpful services, but they earn great pay, can always find a job, and have the personal satisfaction and peace of mind that comes from a career devoted to helping others.

The need for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) is more widespread than ever. Captec Professional Training Center implements and innovates training for entry into the nursing profession. 

 

CNAs play an important role in a patient's life.  Some CNA duties include:

 

·         : Answering call lights of patients

·         : Escorting patients to operating rooms

·         : Keeping patients' rooms neat

·         : Serving meals

·         : Taking temperatures

·         : Making beds

·         : Taking pulse rates

·         : Taking blood pressures

·         : Dressing patients

·         : Bathing patients

·         : Assisting in and out of beds

·         : Observing conditions of patients

·         : Setting up equipment, etc.

 

The CNA Training program is a 130 hour or a 6-week course in length, which provides both classroom and clinical training at a local nursing home.  Upon completion, participants are prepared for immediate employment.
